The Golden Gate Park Band plays almost every Sunday afternoon at the Spreckels Temple of Music, more commonly known as the Bandshell. The band has been playing there since 1882.

Mark Nemoyten is a trumpet player, and he’s been playing with the band for more than 20 years. He’s also a music teacher and a freelance musician. He plays with local symphonies and in a rhythm-and-blues band, takes church jobs and graduation gigs — basically, he’ll work with anyone who will hire him.
