DonateDirect — Give to Local Public Media Without Spending a Penny

Want to donate to the San Francisco Public Press without spending any money out of pocket?

The Public Press has the opportunity to benefit from a $1.1 billion national class-action settlement with the manufacturers of LCD computer and television screens. DonateDirect, which works with many prominent nonprofit groups, is helping consumers who bought overpriced screens between 1999 and 2006 donate their portion of the settlement to a charity. NOTE: No receipts are required to fill out the form below and make a donation.

How much is being donated? According to the claims administrator, the minimum will be $25 per person, but it could be higher, and may exceed $25 per item. We will know the exact amount early next year. You will receive a 2012 tax-year deduction for you contribution when you file your return next year.

Thank you for generously donating your refund to the Public Press. If you have any questions, please call the Public Press at (415) 495-7377, or email us.
